The word 'wellness' began its serious career around 1959 — an American physician, Halbert Dunn, first described 'high-level wellness'. That makes it about sixty-something years old.
The word 'medicine' is more than two thousand years old. My grandmother foraged herbs in Bakony not because of wellness, but because it worked — and it worked because people had been gathering them for thousands of years before her. This isn't lifestyle. This is transfer.
What we do at Liget is not new. Thermal water in Tihany has been dryly documented since 1750. Lavender since 1924. The first written form of Bakony's herbal recipes dates to 1865. We do only one thing: not let this disappear — and not dress it up in marketing language.
